The Final Countdown...

Finding a home, a place and a family when you are far from your own is something that the Ontario University Equestrian Association (OUEA) prides themselves on creating. That is what the OUEA is all about – plus riding some really amazing animals.

The longevity and success of the OUEA would not be possible without the long hours and dedicated individuals that truly love this organization and this sport. So this thanks goes out to not only the students who keep this wheel oiled and running; but to the horse donors, the sponsors, the parents, the shippers, the food vendors, the announcers, the facility owners and last but not least – the professional manure scoopers; whom without any one part, wouldn’t be possible.

The OUEA thrives on friendship and competition, keeping a student’s ability to still compete and spend time in a sport that they love when it might not always be easy while away at school. Speaking from experience, the relationships and bonds that you form during your time in the OUEA are life-binding – these people will always have your back, no matter what.

So at the end of yet another incredible season, please don’t forget to hug your teammates, thank your captain (trust us – they hustled this year), kiss your ponies (we never know how long we will have with them), and always thank your Sponsors. Without them, there wouldn’t be a season to be celebrating!
